Nursing Home, Thien Phuoc.

Aiding a nursing home that has 55 members. Many of the members suffer from mental illnesses and are disabled.

Nursing home "Thien Phuoc" is a small commune in Phan Thiet city. 220km from Ho Chi Minh City. The nursing home consists of 55 elderly ladies and 10 nuns who take care of them. In total, there are 65 members at the nursing home. The facility was established 5 years ago. Because of facility and cost limitations, the nuns only receive a limit of 55 elderly women in difficult circumstances to take care of until their death. The nuns will take care of food, medicine and everything until the women die. Of the 55 women, 25 are paralyzed and in wheelchairs.

WHO ARE THEY?

·      All of the women had difficult families, families unable to take care of them, and some of the women were orphans.

·      Their previous backgrounds were begging on the streets, selling lottery tickets, and working as maids.

·      The ladies were adopted by nuns from provinces all over Vietnam

WHY DO WE NEED HELP THEM?

·      Currently, ladies here are completely free. Family cannot support expenses

·      Most of the women suffered from mild mental illness. And 25 women were paralyzed. So the nuns also need our help such as basic necessities, medicine, oil, and food.

·      Because there are many items in daily life that need expenses to pay, they need some support from us. The goal is to help women have enough meals every day... to have good spirits in their old age
