Giving special gifts to elderly living alone.

Duc Linh is a mountainous district of Binh Thuan Province. There are also many difficult situations here and there are some ethnic minority villages that need our help. It is 120km from Ho Chi Minh City. And according to Vietnamese holidays, today is the month of paying filial piety to parents (giving gifts, asking questions, taking care ..) and sharing food to those in need. We will do two activities to help, which is to distribute 50 gifts to grandparents living alone and suffering. And cook for the patients at the hospital.

WHO ARE THEY? 

·      They are elderly grandparents living deep in the mountains, lacking material resources, some of them do not have children to take care of them.

·      They are poor patients being treated at the hospital. Most of them are ethnic minorities

WHY DO WE NEED HELP THEM?

·      Old grandparents living alone, no longer able to work to earn money. No children to take care of. Some grandparents have children but because of difficult life, they have to work far away

·      As for the patients at the hospital, most of them are poor, in addition to paying for hospital fees, they also have to spend a lot of money on living expenses. So, we cook a delicious meal to share with them. If they have money, they will go to the hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for treatment, while poor families are forced to stay in the hospital in the mountains.

“A gift for the elderly includes: 10kg of rice, 1 bottle of cooking oil, 1 bottle of fish sauce, 1 bottle of soy sauce, 1 mask of cooking salt and 1 lucky money bag of 100 VNĐ in cash.”
